The Remote Terminal Port was developed to provide a remote RS232/422 port for an Optech Laser Industrial Rangefinder. Our customer had to make a potentially hazardous climb up to the laser (while carrying their PC laptop or hand held terminal) if the laser required setup or calibration. This RS232/422 port is permanently wired to the laser and mounted at ground level in a protective enclosure for easy access to the laser.
