DCT6088

The Polysonics DCT6088 is an advanced transit time ultrasonic flowmeter which utilizes a unique digital correlation technique to measure the flow of clean liquids. The non-intrusive design can be applied to pipes of all sizes which helps to reduce installation cost and service downtime. The technology completely eliminates pressure loss and leakage in pipes. Combining digital signal processing (DSP) with correlation detection methods, the Thermo Scientific DCT6088 dedicated transit time flowmeter features exceptional performance and flexibility. It tolerates
higher concentrations of gas bubbles or entrained solids compared to traditional transit time flowmeters which are principally designed for extremely clean liquid applications only. The nonintrusive, clamp-on transducers can be installed without flow interruption and ensure leak-free measurements with zero pressure drop. The simple, menu-driven operation of the DCT6088 flowmeter allows the meter to be commissioned in a fraction of the time necessary for competitive transit time flowmeters.

Product Description

The Thermo Scientific DCT6088 dedicated transit time ultrasonic flowmeter is a microprocessor-based instrument that measures the flow of clean, homogeneous liquids (liquids without large concentrations of suspended particles or gasses such as air bubbles). The flowmeter is non-invasive, which means that it measures flow from outside the pipe. The transducers
can be mounted to a pipe within a matter of minutes, and flow measurements may be made without interrupting the flow or modifying pipe work. The instrument can be configured using an integral keypad for entering variables such as pipe size, pipe material, wall thickness, and fluid type.
