> LIT ATTENDS ISA CALGARY AND FINDS NEW APPLICATIONS

The ISA Show in Calgary was the event to be at once again if you're in the Instrumentation business in Alberta. Traffic and activity was brisk and we met lots of current customers and some new ones. As always all of the customers were interested in the unique solutions that we provide for some of their most challenging applications. As is often the case, customers entered our booth with a puzzled expression and a question something like; Do you guys have anything that will measure…………….? Yes we do and we talked at length about that solution and agreed to send and exchange the details over the next week. That's trade showing and that's what we were there for. Thanks to all who stopped by and hopefully we will see and here more from all of you over the next year.

> GOSCO'S NEW VALVE DESIGN IS AVAILABLE NOW

Gosco, a leader in the Severe Service Ball Valve Market, and has improved an already phenomenal design of their ball valve with the added advantage of a removable bonnet for quick and easy service of the stem and packing without having to remove the valve from the line. The bolt-on bonnet can simply be removed with four bolts and slide off of the stem and tacking combination for replacement of any of those components. Of course this is not something that will have to be done very often unless the application is extremely severe service. Typical of Gosco though, they wanted to have the most reliable and easily serviced package available so say hello to the new Dual Pak and Vari V.

Speaking of Gosco and their valves, check out the new M-Class valve from Gosco. They have formalized their variety of designs and approaches for their most extreme applications and officially named them the M-Class. M for Metal or Made to Order, it doesn't matter how you perceive it these are specific designs and material selections for the most challenging of applications. Give us a call so that we can come out and show you how Gosco can increase your valve performance and reliability.

> MSR MAGMETER CONTINUES TO PENETRATE THE OIL SANDS

MSR Magemeter had their first installations in the utilities areas of Syncrude and Suncor some years ago. Recently they have begun to have systems installed in extraction and tailings areas of Syncrude, Suncor and Albian Sands. Albian Sands began with using the meters in Utilities and because of their successful implementation decided to recommend trying one in tailings. It worked well and continues to work. Watch for more applications in the future as MSR continues to win over new customers in all industries.

Speaking of Insertion flow meters we now have 4 technologies that we offer in an insertion version of flow meter. The advantages of insertion meters are many such as ease of installation, serviceability without shutting down the process and standardization on the same meter for a variety of line sizes. We were so impressed with those advantages that we added Vortex, Turbine and Thermal Mass Flow insertion meters. Yes they all have similar installation yet can offer even more variety in the types of flow measurement they can be used on. Now we can do Conductive and Non-Conductive fluids as well as Gases and even Steam. Check it out and let's talk about where you can try some.

Oh yeah and when we talk about Thermal Mass did we mention that we have one that will measure lower flows better than anyone else. With a 100:1 turndown ratio and higher power than other sensors our range is great and its ability to work in almost any application is unprecedented. If its flare or vent lines Fox is the way to go.

Don't forget that we also offer a severe service Coriolis meter from Rheonik. They can do all of the applications that you were told couldn't be done by the other guys and still offer great accuracy. High temperature, pressure or vibration; We can do it and in a wider variety of sizes than the others.
